Nonna of Ariana Grande Gets a Plaque in Recognition of Her Record-Breaking Eternal Sunshine ‘Certified with Love’ is the feature
Thanks to her appearance on “ordinary things,” music singer Marjorie “Nonna” Grande, 98, is officially the oldest person who has reached number one on the Hot 100.
The grandma of Ariana Grande recently made history, and she now has a plaque to prove it!
Thank you to a spoken-word have on the timeless sunlight monitor “ordinary things,” pop superstar Grande’s adored 98-year-old grandmother Marjorie “Nonna” Grande got the oldest and most senior real life to chart in the Billboard Hot 100 a few weeks ago. To commemorate the achievement, Grande received a framed plaque.
The exhibit shows a happy picture of Nonna next to a picture of her granddaughter’s 7 studio record on red vinyl and a chart position of No. 55 for her song.
At the bottom this plaque is writing that says, “certified with love.”
Nonna celebrated by posing for a cute picture with the framed certificate. She was beaming in the picture and, perhaps because of its enormity, held up the gift in recognition of her record-breaking achievement while seated.
Nonna also seemed to be wearing turtleneck sweaters and red lipstick in the same tone as the Grammys winner’s vinyl press.
Ariana posted a touching picture of her grandmother on Instagram and expressed her happiness at being able to commemorate her in the message.
Celebrate one and only, stunning Nonna, who has made history by becoming the oldest person to ever feature on the @billboard Hot100, the “yes, and?” wrote. 🥹🥹🌞♡

Ordinary things” quickly followed the release of eternal sunshine on March 8 and topped the Billboard Hot 100 music chart. It was one of the 12 tracks from the 13-track album that were included in the chart when the record was released. It also made its Billboard 200 debut at number one.
As the song comes to an end, “Everlasting Sunshine,” the 98-year-old is heard thoughtfully remembering her deceased husband, Frank Grande.
She had previously spoken on the Yours Truly tracks “Daydreamin'” and “Bloodline” from Thank U, Next, so it wasn’t the first time that she and Ariana worked together, but “ordinary things” proved to be first to include her as an actress as well as co-writer.
By unseating Fred Stobaugh from the top spot, Majorie broke the record for the Billboard Hot 100. The late musician set a record in 2013 when he wrote “Oh Sweet Lorraine,” it was recorded by Green Shoes Studio with Jacob Colgan. Billboard states that the singer was 96 years old at the time.
In a recent interview, Ariana talked candidly with Zane Lowe of Apple Music 1 about how she was inspired to include “ordinary things” as the album’s finale after discovering a “voice note” from her grandmother’s speaking to a friend.
The Wicked star revealed, “I knew ‘typical stuff’ was the final track of the album.” This is the closing song, so I thought, “How can I address the question and press that button to make it land psychologically the way I feel it can?”
The singer of “we can’t be friends” revealed that she discovered the solution “right dab right in the midst” of Marjorie’s half-hour message. “I typically record my that Nonna as you always know what she’s likely to say,” she stated.
