The Eras Tour’s Joey King on performing with Taylor Swift: “It Just Takes Your Breath Away”

During the Kansas City, Missouri, stop, Swift debuted the music video for “I Can See You (Taylor’s Version),” which stars King, Taylor Lautner, and Presley Cash.

Joey King may be accustomed to having admirers, but on July 7, when Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour stopped in Kansas City, Missouri, she was still astounded by the crowd.

When Swift made her first stop in Kansas City, she invited King, Taylor Lautner, and Presley Cash onto the stage to debut the music video for “I Can See You (Taylor’s Version),” which they all appeared in.

Regarding the experience, King told CNN, “That’s a new level. “Walking out on a stage in front of 70,000+ people is a very niche experience.”

“I was like, ‘Bring me onstage?'” Didn’t I tell you, she asked. I said, ‘You did not inform me I was going onstage,'” she said. God, oh God. I became really anxious and began to perspire. However, simply having that experience and sensing that energy was amazing.

King has equated performing in front of a large crowd to being submerged in freezing water.

It truly leaves you gasping for air, she remarked, adding that it simply takes your breath away. Being surrounded by so many individuals who are directly bringing you energy was simply beautiful. It was thrilling.

Swift and the Kissing Booth actress collaborated for the first time in 2011 when the former appeared in Swift’s music video for the latter’s smash song “Mean.” King didn’t require much persuasion when Swift approached her to appear in the “I Can See You” music video.

I immediately answered “yes” when she showed me the treatment she had written for the video, according to King. “I cherish Taylor. Does anybody not? She is incredible.

Swift and Speak Now are being kept against their will in a museum when the music video begins, and King, Lautner, and Cash team together to free them. The artist noted that the tale represents how it has felt for her to have her fans support her rereleases, which has helped her regain her music, in an Instagram post unveiling the music video.
