The Orange County Real Housewives have reached adulthood!

In honor of the 18th anniversary of the inaugural episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County airing on Thursday, executive producer Andy Cohen shared a vintage photo of Vicki Gunvalson, Jo De La Rosa, Lauri Peterson, and Jeana Keough (Kim Bryant was not included in the photo).

“‘The The Real Housewives of Orange County” began on Channel EIGHTEEN years ago today!!!'” It was captioned by Cohen. “I had no idea at the time how that program, along with more than a hundred amazing women in its more than ten spinoffs, would alter both pop culture and my life! We are grateful to the amazing creative teams at Evolution, Shred Media, Truly Unique, Sirens Media, and Purveyors of POP, as well as to the Housewives for everything that you do for us.

In fact, Bravo’s RHOC—an unscripted documentary series about wealthy women residing in a gated enclave in Coto de Caza—was the impetus for a whole series that eventually debuted on Peacock, a streaming service.

First airing in March 2006 was Orange County. Other series that followed included The Housewives of New York City City (2008), Atlanta (2008), New Jersey (2009), and so on.

There are presently ten shows in the Real Housewives series that air, including an international edition in Dubai, in addition to a plethora of specials and spin-offs, such as Vanderpump Rules.

When you’re enjoying yourself, time flies. “What really was He wearing????😮,” Gunvalson captioned the photo. Gunvalson appeared in the program from seasons 1 through 13 and returned as a “friend” in season 14.

I can’t believe eighteen years have passed! Not to mention my caramel hair, which is made worse by the curls! De La the example of Rosa, who left the program after season 2, added, 😂🤣.

“Whoa! eighteen years! So bizarre! What an adventure!” Gretchen Rossi was added; she was present in seasons 4 through 8.

“Whoa. Absurd. Overjoyed to have contributed to the first series!❤️,” commented Peggy Tanous, who became a full-time cast member for a single season in season 6.

Judge, Shan Storms Beador, She Dubrow, Gina Kirschenheiter, Emily Simpson, and newcomer Jennifer Pedranti were among the cast members of Season 17, which concluded broadcasting in October 2023. Gunvalson made a cameo appearance.

Season 18 is presently in production, and Alexis Bellino, a previous O.C. housewife, is back. Bravo doesn’t discuss casting.
