The ‘Buffy vampire Slayer’ actor remarked, “Best evening w my children plus the woman I call mother,” after meeting Minogue behind the scenes at her Las Vegas engagement.
After seeing Kylie Minogue perform live in Las Vegas, Sarah Michelle Gellar & her friends are unable to get the singer out of their brains.
“High on Vegas!” Gellar, 46, stated on Instagram after witnessing the Friday play at The Venetian’s Voltaire theatre. There’s a strong atmosphere. The greatest evening spent with my boys and my mother.
The 55-year-old “Mother” Minogue replied, “Yes, SMG,” to the Buffy Vampire Slayer actress. It was a pleasure to meet you all 💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💐
Before meeting the “Can’t Get U Out of My Head” singer backstage, Gellar attended the event with Stephen Lowry, the proprietor of Showboy BakeShop, Jeff Davis, a writer and producer for Teen Wolf, and Jared Sullivan, an entrepreneur.
Following their appearance on Food Network’s Cupcake Wars, Lowry and Sullivan shared on Showboy BakeShop’s Instagram page that they spent the evening celebrating with champagne rosé with Kylie Minogue Wines, friendship bracelets made from Padam Padam, and cupcakes with a Kylie motif.
When they saw both celebrities together, their fans were taken aback and overjoyed. One fan, who saw and heard them growing up, just tweeted, “My childhood.” “Mother and mother, mothering ❤️🔥,” remarked a different devotee.
Gellar and the Voltaire crowd witnessed Minogue play songs throughout her nearly four-decade history at the Vegas residency, dubbed More Than Just a Residency. These included her cover of “The Loco-Motion” in 1987 and her most recent viral smash, “Padam Padam,” from the album Tension, which was released in 2023.
I always imagined that I was going to do anything in Las Vegas,” Minogue stated in September 2023 to PEOPLE. It was formerly seen of as a retirement strategy, but it’s had such a comeback that artists are adoring it. I’d better get to work on my Liberace and start gathering rings.
With assistance from Tony and Emmy-winning set and set designer Derek McLane, the residency began in November and will run through May, barring the announcement of additional dates. Stars Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Christina Aguilera, Cara Delevingne, and Seth MacFarlane have also seen the program.
